This session introduces students to artists from around the globe. Create original works of art in the manner of the masters & learn a bit of the history that makes them remarkable. Look, learn and then do it yourself, your way! We'll work in a variety of styles, learn art techniques and create with an array of expressive materials. Build art-making skills, learn to create with line, shape, color, value & perspective and discuss and interpret art together.

Drawing teen & adult
This popular course is a must for anyone seeking to improve their drawing skills. If you have always wanted to draw or feel you need improvement, this class provides you with the techniques to develop your abilities. Learn to draw realistically from sight, use perspective, render with expressive line, study proportion and shape, add value and shading and enjoy both the process and the results. You can reach new levels of expression when you gain an understanding of the principals of drawing through thoughtful, progressive exercises.
Bring large newsprint pad, medium vine charcoal, kneaded eraser and Ebony 6B drawing pencil.
"Inspiration Studio" teens
Mondays, 3-6 pm, beginning Monday September 13th
Instructor: Theresa Tonyan
High School students will find materials and inspirational prompts ready for them when they arrive at The Studio. Designed to stir imaginations and get creativity flowing, aspiring artists will render expressive interpretations as a response to the motivational challenge and materials provided by the instructor. Help is always available if desired. Prompts and materials will vary weekly. (4 weeks $40)

Fine art instruction for the serious young artist with an emphasis on drawing skills. Learn the tools & techniques to create extraordinary art! Students will explore drawing & painting using a variety of traditional mediums like tempera, watercolor, acrylic, pastel and pen & ink. Push your creativity in a new direction with clay, mixed media collage, weaving, glass painting and mosaic. Zero in on line, color, composition and value to achieve a personal point of view. Art forms from around the globe and from masters past and present inspire as you gain new skills and earn the confidence to express yourself. Projects vary with each session. (4 weeks $60/$15 per lesson)
Paint Your Own Pottery all ages

Design and decorate bisqueware of your choosing with our assortment of beautiful glazes. Select from plates, platters, mugs & bowls or fun figurines and vases. Guided instruction available.
($8 studio fee + price of bisque ware.)
Mini Masters

Art exploration for ages 4,5 & 6. Enjoy an atmosphere of creative fun! Inspiration, encouragement and whimsical creations happen each Thursday morning with Miss Nancy's gentle guidance. We use real art materials to play with lessons in line, shape, color and texture. Stimulate your little one's imagination with hands on art making activities. (6 weeks, $60)
Metal Embossing teen & adult

If you have a creative spirit and a willingness to learn, we guarantee you will loose yourself in the enchanting art of metal embossing. You don't have to be "an artist" to be successful at the art of metal embossing. From aluminum to pewter, we instruct you through each stage of creation. With 30 years experience, a true master of technique and artistry, Carmen is one of the finest metal artists of our time. The Studio proudly offers the opportunity to continue this timeless tradition in the modern world for modern tastes. We invite you to join us and get hooked on metal!

The Potter's Table grades 5 to adult

The perfect medium in which to explore your inner child. Learn the fundamentals of working with clay and explore a variety of techniques to make kiln fired, glazed ceramics. Demonstration and hands-on application of methods provide the framework for this class. Guided projects enable you to learn the methods and provide the inspiration to take you on a creative journey all your own. Expect to go home with decorative and sometimes functional, one of a kind handcrafted treasures.

What could be more fun than spending your after school hours at The Studio painting ceramics? Think about it....that's right, nothing! Come for our four week sessions featuring the greatest projects ever. Our instructors guide you with inspiration and ideas, special tricks and techniques to highlight your creativity! In session one we'll paint a garden gnome, a bank of your choice, a personalized dinner plate and a wicked witch or awesome vampire figurine. Session two will feature a peace sign project, artsy animal figurine, vibrant vase, and timeless treasure chest! Session three focuses on holiday gift giving with these keepsake projects; a family tree platter, snow scene ornament, perfect lidded box and a masterpiece mug. (4 weeks $80/$20 per lesson)
Saturday Ceramic Painting Workshops feature a painted bisqueware piece to be glazed and kiln fired and ready for you to pick up the following week. Also included in each lesson is a related project featuring fine art materials and thoughtful, guided projects. Recommended for ages 7 and up.
Purse Party Ceramic Workshop

Come to our "Purse Party" and design your own colorful purse box. Style tips and techniques included. Create a fashion portfolio and a "Label" for your line. Purses are to be kiln fired.
SLUG BUG Ceramic Workshop

Paint your own sporty Volkswagon in a style all your own. The possibilities are endless. Accompanying art project is a groovy 70's themed oil pastel design.
Time for Tea Ceramic Workshop

Paint a ceramic teapot to give as a gift or to admire yourself. Accompanying art project is a fantasy inspired by the Cake Boss.
"Paint & Destroy" Ceramic Workshop
Saturday, 10/2, 1 - 3 pm $20
A workshop for boys featuring the choice of either a ceramic tank or Humvee. Map making project includes determining a starting point, compass rose, booby traps and target destination.
Creepy Creatures Ceramic Workshop
Saturday 10/9, 1 - 3 pm $20
Paint a bat or spider ceramic and create a haunted mansion pastel picture to decorate your den.
Halloween Ceramic Workshop
Saturday 10/16, 1 - 3 pm $20
Paint either a vampire or witch figurine and create a ghastly ghost graveyard scene.
Fallen Leaf Ceramic Workshop

Paint a useful and beautiful ceramic platter insired by the fallen leaves around us. Let our techniques inspire your creation. Leaf rubbing art project creates a pretty picture.
