Mark’s interest in photography began at a young age, but really took hold in middle school when he received his first SLR camera. “In the beginning I was more interested in the camera as a mechanical tool as well as the craft involved in making photographs. Eventually it became about making good photographs.”
Mark is currently the Senior Photographer with Ball Horticultural Company in West Chicago, IL, as well as a contributing photographer for Grower Talks and Green Profit magazines. His work has appeared in several home, garden and lifestyle magazines. Prior to his current position, Mark was a photographer for the Field Museum and an apprentice photographer with Hedrich Blessing in Chicago. His personal photographic interests include portraiture and vernacular architecture.
Mark holds a BFA in Photography from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
